Blu Age Forward Engineering trial

Blu Age Forward Engineering, built-on Eclipse workbench, is an implementation of MDA (Model Driven Architecture).
The software allows to automate the transformation of UML models into a final and deployable application.
It allows the transformation of UML models into a final and deployable application. Blu Age Forward Engineering is a part of the Blu Age suite composed also by "Blu Age Database Modernization" and  "Blu Age Reverse Modeling" .
This Blu Age suite allows the automation of legacy application modernization.

The purpose for this trial is to evaluate and understand the Forward Engineering functionnal features of Blu Age Forwward Engineering.
It includes a Java technology stack described hereafter:
  • Presentation layer: JSF-RI;
  • Service layer: Spring;
  • Persistence layer: Hibernate.

The generated "textbook case" applications can be deployed on a Apache Tomcat 6 server.
The database used for the trail can be one of the following:

  • PostgreSQL (Recommended for trial);
  • Oracle 9i or 10g;
  • Microsoft SQL Server;
  • IBM DB2;
  • MySQL.

The UML model is designed using MagicDraw modeling tool by NoMagic™.
The MagicDraw trial licence is pre-integrated to the Blu Age one.


The process to start your trial will be the following:

  1. Fill up the request form below;
  2. Once the form filled, you will be granted the access to the download page which includes:
    • the Blu Age installer;
    • the installation guide;
    • the evaluation guide;
    • the associated middleware (Tomcat, PostgreSQL);
  3. The installation guide will allow you to proceed to the Blu Age installation and to obtain an unique ID.
    You will send it to our services, according to the installation guide procedure ;
  4. You will receive back your trial license keys for Blu Age to start your evaluation valid for 10 days;
  5. You will therefore be able then to take your first steps in Blu Age with the help of the ‘Evaluation Guide’.
