UML Modeling Tools

 

The generation of an application with BLU AGE® requires the use of UML 2 modeling tools that comply with OMG standards.

The automated code writing is only possible from a structured functional requirements using a standardized language.

The respect of MDA principals allows the use of a standardized UML with no need to integrate specific target technologies (PIM/PSM concepts).

The UML Models are built schematically around three groups of components:

1. Class diagrams integrate the business objects notions and the simple and complex business rules, such as the entities
2. Services' modeling, the same as the controllers', is made by the means of Activity and sequence diagrams
3. The roles and authorizations are expressed by the means of use cases

BLU AGE® supports UML 2.x.

BLU AGE® is compatible with most common modeling tools, such as Rational & Magic Draw or others as far as they can make EMF files export from the UML model.

BLU AGE® currently recommends the use of the following modeling tools:

• MagicDraw® UML Modeling Tool, combined with MagicDraw® TeamWork Server.
• IBM Rational 7.0 & 7.5 UML Modeling Tools (RSM, RSA Standard Edition & RSD, RSA for WebSphere Software)
